Sexual behavior test can measure the courtship and copulation of the animals
For female animal, surgical ovariectomy is performed and exogeneous hormone is administered. Female and male animal are put on the cage together, and record by videotape. Quantitative analysis of female sexual behaviors in rodents is the frequency of exhibition of the lordosis reflex. Male rodents exhibit sexual behaviors that follow a fixed sequence of motor patterns in the presence of a receptive female; grooming, anogenital investigation, mounts, intromission, and ejaculation.
