Haning wire test

The hanging wire test can measure the neuromuscular abnormalities by quantitating motor strength of the animal. The animal is placed on the top of a wire cage lid. The investigator shakes the lid lightly three times to cause the animal to grip the wires and then turns the lid upside down. The latency to fall off the wire lid is quantitated.
