Visual cliff test

Visual cliff apparatus evaluates the ability of the animal to see the drop-off the edge of a horizontal surface.
A cardboard or wooden box is built with a horizontal plane, connected to a vertical drop, connected to s second horizontal plane at a lower level. A sheet of clear Plexiglas of placed across the top horizontal plane, that is, Plexiglas provides a solid horizontal surface in spite of visual appearance of a cliff. The blind animal can not detect the ¡®cliff¡¯ and may move forward across the ¡®cliff¡¯ without pause.
