Motor function of the animal is measured by quantitated spontaneous activity in the open field.
Open field is a square, rectangular, or circular equipment. In this ¡®box¡¯, that is, horizontal plane, ambulatory locomotion of the animal was quantitied by an observer(person or video tracking) who scored the number of lines crossed or squares entered, within a predetermined time period, for example, 5 minutes or l hour.
